Green Thumbs

We've been harvesting most of our end-of-season produce from the garden these last few weeks. We dug up all the potatos (lousy crop this year - only about a dozen!), most of the beets, and most of the tomatoes. Clara and Elena each harvested the last of their special crops they planted and watered this season.

Here's Clara, the Carrot Cultivator!

And Elena, with her Bountiful Broccoli! (this plant kept on producing and producing, even when it was half-pulled out of the ground. Amazing.)

We've made quadruple batches of marinara sauce, lots of pickled beets, and some great veggie juice combinations. This week we'll make the last of the basil into pesto and probably call it a year!
